Turmeric Ginger Tea Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 inch fresh turmeric root, grated (or 1 teaspoon turmeric powder)

  • 1 inch fresh ginger root, grated

  • 4 cups of water

  • Honey to taste

  • Juice of 1/2 lemon

  • A pinch of black pepper (to enhance turmeric absorption)

Instructions:

  1. Boil Water: In a small saucepan, bring the water to a boil.

  2. Add Turmeric and Ginger: Add the grated turmeric and ginger to the boiling water. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes.

  3. Strain: Strain the tea into a cup through a fine sieve to remove the root fibers.

  4. Add Flavors: Stir in honey to sweeten and add lemon juice for a vitamin C boost. Sprinkle a pinch of black pepper.
